About the Opportunity:
We’re looking for a proactive and customer‑focused Collections Officer to join our Credit Risk & Recovery Operations team. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of customers in arrears, working closely with our Collections Partners, internal teams and customers to reach the best outcomes for everyone involved.
Your day will include speaking with customers, problem‑solving arrears issues, reviewing account risks, and taking timely action. You’ll play an important role in reducing arrears, minimising financial losses and ensuring customers feel supported with respect and empathy throughout the process.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meaningful conversations, navigating complex situations, and helping customers get back on track.
Your key contributions include:
- Liaising with customers in arrears to help resolve outstanding payments.
- Using sound judgement and strong communication to reach quick, effective outcomes.
- Following the SilverChef Debt Lifecycle and taking timely action on assigned accounts.
- Keeping management informed by flagging risks or accounts requiring escalation.
- Meeting individual and team KPIs.
- Supporting other projects and tasks as required.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Experience in collections or a customer service role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
- Confidence negotiating and navigating difficult conversations.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
