In this role, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits in line with the annual audit plan which will assist SilverChef to execute risk management strategies and processes. You will test the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal processes and systems and make pragmatic recommendations to improve the control environment. Further to this, you will also be supported to complete special projects and risk/compliance assignments.
The person we are looking for can:
- Conduct Internal Audits in accordance with the annual audit plan and follow up with leaders to ensure recommendations have been actioned.
- Conduct independent risk assessments and where appropriate provide recommendations to improve the control environment
- Participate in meetings with key stakeholders to ensure that the risks of the business are considered during decision making processes
- Ensure the risk appetite is understood and improve the overall risk knowledge of SilverChef
You will have:
- Experience in a risk and audit role in a financial services organisation
- Strong communicator (both written and verbal) that can engage effectively with all levels of staff
- Pragmatic thinker that can balance between commercial needs and risk requirements.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office and financial and customer relationship management systems.
- Ability to use own initiative to a high level and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
